Pre-ordered Nexus 7 tablets begin shipping – Google

Google posted on google+ that it has started shipping the pre-ordered units of the tablet Nexus 7. Nexus 7 is the most anticipated device of this year since the Google announced it.

The tablet is manufactured by Asus, giving a tough competition to the Apple’s Ipad, and surely giving a threat to the Amazon kindle Fire. The tablet  will be available as 8GB and 16GB, priced $199 and $249 respectively very low compared to Ipad. The price is the strategy that might be used by the Google to tackle the competition.

several retailers received their Nexus 7 units today, including Gamestop. The video game retail company is already “allowing pre-orders to be picked up,” but won’t sell to any who didn’t.

Great news for Gamestop customers, but for those of us who pre-ordered through Google, we’ll just have to wait a bit longer. No word yet on when retailers can officially start selling Nexus 7s.

The search giant first announced the Jellybean powered tablet at its developers conference back in June, and began taking pre-orders the very same day.
